World Environment Day 2024.
5 June 2024. Theme: Land restoration, desertification and drought resilience.
This World Environment Day, we’re calling for greater collaboration to achieve the world’s climate goals. We partnered with WingFarm, Bold Impact Africa, YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa, USAID Kenya, Kenyatta University and other partners working together to commit to reducing severe climate impact on the environment.
With the campaign focusing on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience under the slogan “Our land. Our future, we conducted several activities in Kiambu county including:
▪︎ Raising awareness to the local community
▪︎ Market Clean-up at Wangige
▪︎ Waste management practices
▪︎ Tree Planting Initiatives
▪︎ School mentoring and learning.
▪︎ A chance to network as partners and key stakeholders in building a habitable environment.
